The development of Artificial Intelligence is growing rapidly in recent years, such as Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic and Genetic Algorithm. Genetic Algorithm, derived from Evolutionism, has been applied effectively and significantly as an optimized search technique in various fields, including in the field of control design. According to the unique characteristics of the optimization of Genetic Algorithm, this research, combined with the Genetic Algorithm and active-control theory, used the optimization of the Genetic Algorithm to get the feedback-gain matrix and then calculate the control force. The control method which uses Genetic Algorithm is proposed to reduce the responses of a structure under seismic excitation. We tried to change the feedback information, improve the equipments of active-control system and proceed with experimentation to test and verify the practicability of the active-control theory in order to deem the active-control system suitable for the application of practical construction projects.
