奈米碳管領域科學與技術連結關係之研究-以臺韓中日為例

Science and Technology Linkage in Carbon Nanotubes-A Csae Study of Taiwan, South Korea, China and Japan

摘要


本研究旨在探討科學與技術連結關係,以奈米碳管領域為例同時深入分析臺灣、南韓、中國大陸及日本四國。以論文與專利分別代表科學與技術,運用引用分析建立兩者連結關係,首先分析奈米碳管領域歷年質量表現,再分析學科領域、國家分布與產官學機構分布,深入瞭解科學技術連結之結構與分布。論文來源為WOS資料庫、專利來源為USPTO專利資料庫,年份取2002年至2011年共十年間之奈米碳管領域資料,取論文52,261篇與專利1,778件,從中析出被引專利741件與被引論文4,093篇做為連結分析。 研究結果顯示,基本特性方面,奈米碳管論文與專利偏好引用近期且高品質之資料;指標表現方面,臺灣奈米碳管領域科學技術率表現為四國最佳;四國基礎資料方面,臺韓中日四國論文與專利數量均呈正向成長,專利表現普遍不佳,其中日本被引論文與被引專利對奈米碳管領域影響力最高;學科組成方面,被引論文、被引專利與其來源之間以化學、材料科學等學科連結最強;國家組成方面,專利偏好引用美國與日本論文、論文則偏好引用美國專利;機構組成方面,企業與學術機構之連結最為緊密,政府機構扮演的角色不明顯。

This study aims to contribute to a better understanding of science and technology linkage. Carbon nanotubes were selected as an object of case study, and the country analysis was focus on Taiwan, South Korea, China and Japan. The number of references in patents to scientific papers is considered as an approximation of the science linkage of technology; in the same way, the number of references in papers to technique patents is considered as an approximation of the technology linkage of science. Basic performance, subject distribution, country analysis and institution distribution were discussed from WOS paper-data and USPTO patent-data (from 2002 to 2011). The results shows that, in basic performance, papers and patents both prefer high-quality and recent references. In the index performance, Taiwan has the best science-technology ratios among the four countries, In the basic performance, four countries papers and patents have all steadily grown, however the quality of patents is lower. Among the four countries, the references from Japan bring much more influence on carbon nanotubes. In subject distribution, chemistry and materials science have strong linkage among papers, patents and its references. In country analysis, patents prefer science references from U.S. and Japan, papers patents prefer technique references from U.S. In institution distribution, industries and universities have stronger linkage than other institution links, and government has relatively weak linkage.
