蒙脫石-聚氧化乙烯複合材料之結晶行為與形態

Crystallization and Morphology of PEO-Clay Composite

摘要


本實驗主要研究蒙脫石及表面吸附不同分子量PEO對於基材(聚氧化乙烯(PEO)、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)/聚氧化乙烯(PEO)摻合物)之結晶性質與形態結構之影響。藉由WAXD判定其PEO/MMT、PMMA/PEO/MMT複合材料的結構,並利用TGA分析結構對於熱性質的影響。接下來利用POM觀察其球晶成長速率、晶核數目及形態結構,及利用DSC分析整體結晶速率的變化,並與先前所得球晶成長速率及晶核數目相對照,瞭解改質蒙脫石在複合材料對於結晶行為與形態結構上的影響。實驗結果顯示,蒙脫石會有干擾結晶與促進成核的兩種效應,並隨著蒙脫石表面吸附不同PEO會造成熱性質、結晶動力與球晶形態上的改變。

Effects of PEO-modified-clay and molecule weight of PEO absorbed on the clay surface on the crystallization and morphology of PEO/clay and PMMA/PEO/clay composites were studied. The structure of clay of these composites was characterized by WAXD. The thermo degradation was studied by TGA. Then the spheruilitic growth rate, density of nucleus, and morphology of spherulite were studied by POM. Utilizing the DSC, the overall crystallization rate was studied and compared with the results from POM. The experiment results showed that clay decreased the growth rate of spherulite and increased the density of nucleus. The molecule weight of PEO absorbed on the clay surface would influence the thermal properties, kinetic of crystallization, and morphology of spherulite.
