Clustering phenomenon of granular gas results from inelastic collision between particles. The collision behavior of two-compartmentalized bi-dispersed granular gas depends on the material property and number of particles as well as input energy. In this thesis, we investigate numbers of mono-dispersed particle clustering with different materials, particle size and input energy. Furthermore, small particle clustering mixed with one large particle composed of different materials and the motion state of bi-dispersed granular gas with different number of small/large particles are studied. Finally, by determining index of horizontal segregation, the properties of horizontal segregation are investigated with several parameters, such as the number of small/large particles and different material properties. We expect to extend our experimental results to the industrial application of particle purification.
