運用英語影片提升國小二年級學童英語聽力與口說的學習成就之行動研究

摘要


本研究旨在探討運用英語影片融入英語教學對國小二年級學童的英語學習成就之影響。其研究目的有探討教師運用英語影片融入英語教學之實施歷程與遭遇困難及調整策略、探討英語影片融入英語教學對學生英語聽力語口說學習成就的影響、探討英語影片融入英語教學後學生之回饋意見分析、探討教師運用英語影片融入英語教學之省思。研究者將以行動研究法作為探討方法,研究對象為歡樂國小15 位二年級學童,研究時間含前測週與後測週為期8週,每週2節課,每節課 40 分鐘,共12節課。資料蒐集與分析有質性與量化兩部分,質性資料有:研究者省思札記、協同研究教師教學觀察回饋、學生教學問卷開放式問答題;量化資料有教學滿意度問卷選項式表及新北市107和108學年國小五年級英語能力檢測為學習成就之前、後測。研究結果如下,學生第一~五大題並非每大題之後測分數都大於前測分數,但在第五大題的情境題型分數有較多提升,且全班的總平均分數也是後測高於前測,顯見《English Singsing》影片教材適用於聽力的提升;第六大題的口說測驗,後測分數也大於前測,表示口說能力有提升。而根據開放性教學回饋單問答的質性分析,學生多數強調能由影片習得正確的發音與腔調。再者由教學滿意度問卷的平均數4.75來判斷教學活動滿意度高,這說明可以英語影片提升國小二年級學童英語聽力與口說的學習。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of applying English videos into English lessons, focusing on the English listening and speaking achievement of second-grade elementary school students. By the action research method, objects are 15 second-grade students in Happy Elementary School. The total period was 8 weeks. The result was based on the quantitative results of the pre-test and post-test of listening and speaking test, including the questionnaire about teaching feedback. Not all parts of post-test scores of listening test were higher than the pre-test scores, but the situational questions score of the fifth were higher. The post-test average score of listening test of the whole class was also higher than the pre-test, showing that the "English Singsing" video teaching material is appropriate for improving listening achievement. The score of the sixth part about the oral test representing the post-test score was also higher than the pre-test, indicating that the speaking ability improved. According to the qualitative questionnaire about teaching feedback, most of the students answered that they could acquire the correct pronunciation and intonation from the videos. Furthermore, the average score of the teaching satisfaction questionnaire was 4.75, showing the teaching activities were highly satisfied. The result demonstrated that teaching with English videos was an effective teaching to improve the English listening and speaking learning of the second-grade students of elementary school.
