以拯救動物家園主題課程提升幼兒同理心之研究

A Research on Saving Animal’s Home Thematic Curriculum to Improve Children’s Empathy in Early Childhood Education

摘要


本研究旨在探討「全球議題」主題課程方案之設計與實施歷程,探討使用全球化議題主題教學提升幼兒同理心行為的歷程,探究其學習成效及對教師的省思與成長。本研究課程設計方案選用全球化議題中的「環境與永續議題」,設計「拯救動物家園」主題課程。透過動物的遭遇提升幼兒的同理心,並了解熱帶雨林遭遇破壞的原因。本研究以研究者所任職的快樂國小附設幼兒園中大班16位幼兒為研究對象進行研究,以訪談紀錄、家長回饋單、觀察紀錄、檢核表、主題學習單、教學影音紀錄等方式,蒐集課程前後幼兒同理心的改變及進步。本研究之研究結果如下: 1.拯救動物家園主題課程能有效提升幼兒同理心行為:透過體驗遊戲讓幼兒去理解動物的感受,幫助幼兒提升同理心,幼兒透過課程可以學習同理對待動物及身邊的人,並試圖透過自身行動去幫助對方、理解對方,有效提升同理心的行為。 2.拯救動物家園主題課程能有效提升幼兒對全球議題的認識:本研究課程實施後,幼兒在認知、情意、技能上都有明顯改善與進步。認知觀點部分,幼兒認識熱帶雨林之後,對於雨林生態更為重視,在情意及技能上也都有所進步與改善。 由以上結果得知,使用拯救動物家園主題課程是可以有效提升幼兒同理心行為,並幫助幼兒改善同儕、家人間的互動,提升幼兒同理心的理解能力,改變幼兒對待人事物更有同理心。 關鍵字:同理心、全球化議題

This study aimed to explore the design and implementation process of the "Global Education" thematic curriculum. This research examined the level of empathy after the curriculum, and collect data regarding to the learning outcome, and the reflection and growth of teachers. This study integrates Global Education issue and use action research method to develop a thematic curriculum called Saving the Animal’s Home”. This curriculum is designed to enhance the empathy of young children through the encounters with animals and understand the causes of damage to tropical rain forests. This research at Happy Elementary School involves kindergartens as research objects, with interview records, parental feedback forms, observation records, checklists, topical study sheets, teaching audio and video records, and the collection of children's empathy before and after the course. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1.The theme course of Saving Animal’s Homes can effectively enhance children's empathy level and helping behavior. Children can understand the animal's feelings and develop empathy. They can learn to treat animals and people around them with more empathy, and help others with direct actions. 2.The Saving Animal’s Home theme course effectively enhances children's awareness of global issues:After the implementation of this research course, children have obvious progress in cognition, emotions, and skills in the cognitive perspective section, after children understand the tropical rainforest, they pay more attention to the rainforest ecology, and improve their affection and skills. Based on the above results, Saving Animal’s Home thematic course can effectively enhance children's empathy and help children improve the interaction between their peers and their families, improve children's ability to understand the concept of empathy, and gain the ability to expressing empathetic behavior toward people.
