This study aims to discuss and understand the skills and educational mismatch in department of household management from an industrial point of view. Subjects are from the best in class vocational high school in middle Taiwan. The data were collected via personal interview, in-depth interviews with six professional expertise, analyzed interview data word by word, and divided into different categories, and here are the conclusions: (1)Aspects of knowledge, academic-oriented, education leading to professional certificates, programs are fancy but not useful, needed reorganization of the internship programs. (2) Aspects of practical skills, internship programs are often a formality. Students are not familiar with the process, lack of skills and professional knowledge, which lead to significant skills and educational mismatch. (3) Aspects of attitude, a comprehensive employee training on “Working Habits ”、 “Work Adjustment” “Interpersonal Interaction”are essential.
