校園雲端虛擬桌面使用行為及效能之研究─以淡江大學軟體雲為例

摘要


淡江大學軟體雲於102學年起正式運作,資訊處將可共用的軟體安裝於桌面虛擬化平台,使全校師生可隨時隨地利用各種裝置存取軟體服務。本研究蒐集個案資料,統計軟體雲共42種軟體使用情形,並分析其架構及效能。 研究發現師生每月平均登入達6,347人次,且夜間使用量高於白天,延伸課後學習。各項軟體平均每次使用58.9分鐘,目前使用量最高的軟體為Microsoft Word,隨著AutoCAD等繪圖應用軟體加入,整體使用人次亦逐漸提升。系統架構透過預先產生設定檔與快取機制節省虛擬機開機時間,由效能數據得知目前硬體配置尚敷使用。結果顯示,軟體雲可克服70人同時上線學習與繪圖應用效能難題,適用於各類應用程式,達成資源共享及便利性之目的。

Since the official release of TKU Software Cloud in 2013, its desktop virtualization platform provides the entire school the convenient access to software service from anywhere online. This study analyzed its architecture and performance by collecting case data and the usage of total 42 software. The findings show it averages 5,360 logins per month and its utilization is higher in the nighttime, which extends after-school learning. Each software utilization averages 58.5 minutes, and SAS is the most frequently used software. With more graphic software is added like AutoCAD, the number of overall users has increased constantly. In the system architecture, SSD and cache mechanism are applied to save virtual machines boot time, allowing 70 people to conduct on-line learning and drawing applications at the same time. The current allocation of software and hardware is not only sufficient, but also proven in statistics. The overall results show that TKU Software Cloud indeed contribute resource sharing and accessibility.
