對於MPEG-DASH自我調適QoE方法研究

摘要


近年來因為行動可攜裝置的普及,使得高畫質多媒體影視串流服務應用急速的成長,因此行動裝置可於移動時透過TCP�IP通信協定溝通,因此行動裝置可以經由4G LTE�Gigabit Ethernet�Wi-Fi等許多不同特性的網路存取多媒體內容,而HTTP為目前廣泛使用的傳輸協定。眾多的影音格式與通信協定中,使用SVC可適性壓縮的多媒體格式搭配MPEG-DASH架構傳遞的訊流技術,將可以使得單一訊流來源提供不同傳輸網路的服務,例如家用固接式網路品質較佳時如能夠主動判斷QoS服務品質提升時,則依網路品質狀態調適至最佳頻寬,以提供使用者終端較佳的QoE影音品質感受。 本文藉由用戶終端對QoS的狀態分析,提出一種方法做為用戶終端自我調適的機制,以達到自我管理QoE品質的方法,可使得服務品質當網路品質狀態改變時,藉由MPEG-DASH的MPD選取適當的網路,以及SVC可適性編碼技術透過動態切換傳輸頻寬,使得服務品質與用戶端體驗獲得提升。TCP�IP協定可以傳送各種多媒體訊息與內容,從文字、圖片或是連續的影音封包,透過不同的傳輸協定與技術如無線傳輸的4G�LTE、WiFi或是FTTx等實體電路,都可以用來實現多媒體的傳遞。 過去的需求只要能將文字在有限的頻寬內傳遞完成,便能滿足大部份的使用者;由於數位化的方法逐漸應用在各領域,以及網路通信協定的成熟也將傳輸頻寬向上提升,使得各種內容業者的商業模式也透過網際網路直接提供個人化的服務,圖像與影音便開始透過網路傳遞,高畫質影音更將網路使用需求推向巔峰;以往影視內容的來源多是透過線電視或是電影業者才能提供服務,如今個人攝錄的數位裝置成熟也促成高畫質的個人製作內容UGC(User Generate Content),因此網路影視訊流的傳送需求更普及至個人,使得影音服務躍昇成為網路提供服務的主要訊務流量。 數位影音內容可以透過網際網路、封閉式網路或行動網路等,已發展出各類型網路適合使用的訊流協定,但始終缺乏一個能跨越異質網路的傳送數位影音方法,因為影音訊流傳送時缺乏自我可適性,因此本文為研究如何將SVC壓縮格式以MPEG-DASH作為傳送方法,並具備自我品質調整以維持QoE(Quality of Experience)服務品質,作為確保數位影音訊流品質研究之方法。

In recent years, the popularity of portable devices making high-definition video streaming growing rapidly. So the mobile devices may move through TCP / IP from 4G LTE / Gigabit Ethernet / Wi-Fi and many other different characteristics networks to access multimedia content by HTTP. Many audio and video formats, the use of adaptive compression SVC format with MPEG-DASH architecture, will be able to make a single source of transmission network to provide different services, when the devices have the ability to determine quality of service which can improve the state of adaptation to be the better network bandwidth to provide a better end user quality of experience. This article by the user terminal for QoS state analysis, a method is proposed as a self-adaptive QoE mechanism. In order to achieve self-management methods of QoE, quality of service can be made when the network quality and status changes by the MPEG-DASH MPD select the appropriate service profiles. The SVC adaptive coding techniques can adaptive bandwidth dynamically to make the service quality and user experience improved. TCP / IP protocol can deliver multimedia formats from text, images or continuous video packets through different transport architecture and technologies, such as 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi, or FTTx and other entities. Most network users can be satisfied with a limited bandwidth. Nowadays everything are digitized, the network services is far than text messages, gradually applied to various fields such as audio and video which demand higher bandwidth, and the high definition video services push up limits more than ever before. It is the reason why the streaming service becomes the primary loading of network services. Although Multimedia streaming services can be provided by various networks, such as Internet, Intranet IPTV or mobile networks, there is appropriate agreement for heterogeneous network of digital audio and video transmission. Thus this paper is to research how the SVC compression format with MPEG-DASH as the transfer method, and have self-quality adjustment in order to maintain QoE (Quality of Experience).
