中國大陸高校英語教育現況之研究

摘要

英語一直是被大家所重視的語言，許多國家的課程規劃中，英語皆是必備的課
程項目。中國大陸為全球最大的留學生輸出國，並且多往英語系國家為主，可稱為世界英語學習大國。 本論文主要研究目的如下： （一）了解中國大陸英語教育快速發展之理論基礎。（二）探討中國大陸英語教育之歷史沿革。（三）分析英語教育校內外的發展現況及各方面之影響。
透過研究可以發現中國大陸外語教育的發展從一開始重視俄語，其他語種不受重視，到後來英語成為主要第一外語。中國大陸英語教育的發展大致可分為三大階段：（一）1978年至1984年－英語教育恢復及發展時期（二）1985年至1999年－英語教育蓬勃發展時期（三）2000年至今－英語教育在21世紀的發展。
1999年教學大綱開啟英語進入正規教育之路，中國大陸外語教育以英語為主。同時四六級考試的實施提升了高校對於英語教育的重視，可是也產生了許多問題。像是「應試教學」、「裸考族」、「翹考族」、「刷分族」，及「社會過度關注度」，導致許多學校出現追求通過率，忽略了實際語言應用能力的培養。此外，全球化使國際間的交流不斷增強，語言接觸更為頻繁，社會上出現英語的學習潮流。英語普及化現象，促使了英語教育產業龐大的市場，成為中國培訓業中的重要支柱。大多數學生認為不論本科是什麼科系，具備良好英語能力是極有加分效果，不僅在學生方面，社會上來說，英語學習熱潮一直持續，人們對於英語需求往實用性增加。

English is imporint and popular.English is necessary courses of education policy in many countries.China is the world's largest international students exporting country.Most of the students go to English-speaking countries,such as America,England,etc.Therefore,China can be called the World largest English learning country.The purpose of this thesis is as follows:(1)to understand the theory basis of the rapid development of China's English education.(2)to explore the historical background of China's English Education.(3)analysis of the current situation and affect of English education.
Through research,we can find that the development of China's foreign language education from the start to Russian,other languages are not taken seriously.Finally,English has become the most important foreign language.
The development of China's English education can be divided into three stages:(1)from 1978 to 1984-English education recovery and development period.(2)1985-1999-a period of vigorous development of English education.(3)since 2000-the development of English education in the 21st century.The globalization makes the international exchanges increase,language contact is more frequent,English learning trend appears in society.The English popularity of the phenomenon promote English education industry huge market opportunities.English education has become an important pillar in the training industry in China.Not only the students,the community,the demand for English increased to practicality.
