隨著航空運輸在國際間的頻繁往來,全球載客量和旅遊帶來的經濟效益也日漸增長,而航空公司為提升競爭力,亦積極引進如區塊鏈(Blockchain)等新技術。本研究期望航空公司能在導入區塊鏈的同時,結合哩程交易來解決航空忠誠計劃(Airline Loyalty Rewards Program)在哩程耗損與交易需求方面之潛在問題,並善用區塊鏈之特性提升營運效能,進而達到忠誠計劃維繫忠實顧客之目的。因此,本研究根據可得資料與個案情境進行研究設計,以模擬哩程交易系統之績效,分析哩程交易對於哩程耗損之影響,發現相較未進行哩程交易之統計結果,有進行哩程交易之哩程耗損率有顯著降低,且每年平均旅行次數越高者影響之結果會越顯著。透過改善哩程耗損問題,可達到航空忠誠計劃之目的,減少原有忠實顧客的流失,並增加旅客成為忠實顧客的機會。最後,本研探討如何在航空忠誠計劃中整合區塊鏈技術與哩程交易,並提出其可行性與哩程交易結合聯盟鏈的建議架構,望能通過該架構強化航空公司忠誠計劃之服務目的與效能,藉此提升其競爭優勢。
With the increasingly frequent international exchanges of air transport, the economic benefits brought by global passenger numbers and tourism have also increased rapidly. To enhance competitiveness, airlines actively introduce new technologies such as Blockchain. This research expects that airlines can integrate mileage transactions while introducing blockchain to solve the potential problems of mileage breakage and transaction demand in the Airline Loyalty Rewards Program. In addition, making good use of the characteristics related to the blockchain improves operational efficiency, thereby achieving the purpose of maintaining loyal customers in the loyalty program. Therefore, this research is designed based on the available data and case contexts to simulate the performance of the mileage trading system and analyze the impact of mileage trading on mileage breakage. It is found that compared with the statistical results of no mileage transaction, the mileage breakage rate of the mileage transaction has been significantly reduced. The higher the average number of trips per year, the more significant impact we will see. By improving the mileage breakage problem, the purpose of the airline loyalty program can be achieved, reducing the breakage of original loyal customers, and increasing the possibility of turning passengers into loyal customers. Finally, this research discusses how to integrate blockchain technology and mileage transactions in the Airline Loyalty Rewards Program and proposes the feasibility of combining mileage transactions with the proposed architecture of Consortium Blockchains. It is hoped that through this framework, the service purpose and effectiveness of the loyalty program can be strengthened, thereby enhancing its competitive advantage.
