This study aims at examining relationships among personal background, role conflict and job stress of elementary school physical education teachers in New Taipei City. The study is a survey research and a questionnaire was used to collect data (N=188). The findings are: 1.Among various role conflicts, elementary school physical education teachers had perceived the professional role as the highest conflict. 2.elementary school physical education teachers had received the most pressure from work. 3.There was a positive and significant correlation between role conflict and job stress. 4.The male physical education teachers had a higher professional role conflict than female teachers.
