Recent years, due to excessive pressure and wrong postures in life, the civilized disease of myofascial pain syndrome has become gradually serious. Furthermore, a lot of medical care has turned to the way of in-home healthcare since people keep themselves from hospital and clinic because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the advancement of technology and the development of smart medical care, coupled with the high popularity of smart phones and the extensive development of health care application software, there are more and more opportunities of in-home healthcare for public. However, such smart medical devices are still in the initial stage of development, and research reports on medical effects are not yet sufficient. Therefore, this study intends to investigate the effectiveness of smart phone combined with low-level laser in the case of myofascial pain syndrome. In this study, thirty-three people answered the questionnaire pre and post the application of smart phone combined with low-level lasers to test the effect of releasing the pain. We examined age, sex, and total using time as variables to see if they affect the effect of pain releasing. The results of the study indicated that there were significant decreases in pain index (t=12.55,P<.001),and we also find out that total using time is a key influence of the treating effect. In summary, people reported significant relief in pain after the application of smart phone combined with low-level lasers. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the public to choose smart medical devices in the future, and to help people find out suitable and effective health care methods.
