葡萄糖胺與龜鹿二仙膠複方飲改善膝關節炎之研究

摘要


膝關節炎(Knee osteoarthritis, KOA)為一種軟骨退化慢性疾病,患者依不同臨床症狀最終造成行動不便。葡萄糖胺和龜鹿二仙膠已被證實可以減輕關節疼痛症並延緩KOA的病程。然而目前並無這種合併性之研究,因此本研究擬探討飲用葡萄糖胺複方飲是否改善KOA患者之症狀。本研究招募60位KOA患者,依VAS量表分為VAS>4組(中、重度疼痛組)及VAS<4組(輕度疼痛組),給予8週複方飲,每日於任一餐前補充一瓶(含葡萄糖胺1.5g與龜鹿二仙膠3g),後兩週為追蹤期,介入時間共10週,並於第0、1、2、4、8、 10週進行體位測量、問卷填寫、行走能力測驗,第0、 4、8、10週收集血液檢體, 第0、8週進行骨科理學檢查及X光攝影。 結果顯示補充8週複方飲後,VAS>4組與VAS<4組在三項的行走能力測試皆有顯著進步、VAS, WOMAC, Lequesne’s Index問卷分數顯著下降,血漿中脂質過氧化物含量降低、血漿GSH總量上升、血球中抗氧化酵素(GSH Px, GSH Rd)活性顯著上升、軟骨退化標記物濃度明顯降低。綜合上述結果可知連續飲用葡萄糖胺與龜鹿二仙膠複方飲可以顯著改善不同疼痛程度之KOA患者活動表現、減輕疼痛不 適、並提高體內抗氧化能力,且無副作用。

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a chronic disease of cartilage degeneration. Patients eventually become inconvenient due to different clinical symptoms. Glucosamine and guilu erxian jiao have been proven to reduce joint pain and delay the course of KOA. However, there is no study on the combination of these two ingredients. Therefore, this study was to evaluate the improvement of the combined drinking of glucosamine and guilu erxian jiao on the symptoms of KOA patients. In this study, 60 KOA patients were recruited. According to the VAS score, they were divided into VAS>4 group (moderate and severe pain group) and VAS<4 group (mild pain group). They were given 8 weeks of combined drink (containing glucosamine 1.5g and guilu erxian jiao 3g/bottle), supplemented one bottle every day before any meal, the additional two weeks was the follow-up period. Anthropometric measurements, questionnaire, walking ability test were performed on the initial, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 8th, and 10th week. Blood samples were collected at initial, 4th, 8th, and 10th week, and orthopedic examination and X-ray photography were performed at the initial and 8th week. After 8 weeks of oral supplementation with combined drink, results showed that the VAS>4 group and the VAS<4 group significantly improved in the three walking ability tests, VAS, WOMAC and Lequesne's Index questionnaire scores were significantly reduced, the lipid peroxidation of the plasma was decreased, the total plasma GSH level and the antioxidant enzymes activities (GSH Px, GSH Rd) were increased significantly. In addition, the concentrations of cartilage degradation markers were decreased significantly. These results confirmed that continuous drinking the combined drink of glucosamine and guilu erxian jiao significantly improved the physical activities of KOA patients, relieved pain and discomfort, and increased the body's antioxidant capacity.
