臺灣中部地區大專院校低視力學生使用輔具之效能調查

摘要


進入一個有別於以往的求學與生活環境裡,視障生手邊的輔具能否應對大學多樣化的授課環境,是否會因為學習環境的改變,使得輔具不適用,無法發揮實質的效用,而難以應變新環境的需求,導致學習與生活遇到挫折與困難。因此本研究將探討視障生在大學環境裡,不論在課業上或是生活上,能否充分發揮輔具效能與使用情形,像是:熟練程度、依賴程度、實用性、方便性等等。以及在輔具使用上,是否可提供各種建議、想法,或改善之處。 本研究以客觀與主觀兩項數據相輔而成。視覺功能狀況,以視光儀器取得客觀數據;生活與輔具使用狀況,以訪談方式取得主觀資料。為取得視障生在輔具使用上想法與觀點,採用質性研究(Qualitative Research)的半結構性訪談法(Semi-structured Interview)作為研究方式,以取得視障生內心的主觀感受。 本研究共訪談八位就讀於中部地區大學之視障生。視障程度包含重度、中度、輕度與輕度以下。結果與討論章節,闡述研究所採集資料,以及探討問題並給予建議,共分為三大重點,包括:視覺功能、生活視覺、輔具使用情況。視覺功能主要著重在於病因關係與功能狀況探討;而生活視覺與輔具使用情況,則以訪談方式採集視障生所回答之看法與觀點內容,並加以歸納並提出建議。

Transition into a college environment, which is different from a familiar-grounds in previous high school. The Low vision aids are needed to deal with the diversification of the class in college. Whether the LV aids cope with these changes or a change in aids is needed because of the studying environment these are questions that need to be answered. If aids are not suitable to meet the new demands, this would cause life and learning become difficult. We examine whether low vision college students living in their college environment can fully use LV aids, and offer suggestions, ideas for the use of these LV aids. This study is both a subjective and objective study. Visual functional status, and objective data were obtained from optic aids; Visual quality of Life and LV aid usage were subjective data obtained by interviews. To obtain subjective data, semi-structured interviews were conducted to understand how low vision college students use LV aids and how they fell about using them. In this study, we conducted a total of eight interviews with visually impaired students studying at the college of central Taiwan area. The degree of visual impairment were divided into severe, moderate, mild and slightly less categories. Results and discussion sections describes information collected from the interviews, and case analysis. Advices were also given. It is into three major aspects, including visual function, visual of Life, and aids usage. Visual function analysis focused on the visual impairment and visual functional status. Information on visual of Life and aids usage, were conducted through interviews with the visually impaired students to obtain their opinions about their conditions, and to summarize their situations. Advices were also given.
