人工智能從誕生以來,理論和技術日益成熟,應用領域也不斷擴大,無論在理論和實踐上都已自成一個體系。人工智能的發展和電腦科學技術的發展密不可分。隨著精準醫療的推行使人工智能(Artificial Intelligence, AI) 更具發展的潛力,國際臨床化學委員會(IFCC)主席Maurizio Ferrari先生在一篇「How to imagine the future of laboratory medicine」報告中指出,未來檢驗醫學發展會依賴電子計算機和信息技術,從電子高速路的創建和創新,到人工智能檢驗結果的判讀,特別是自動細胞識別等新技術的應用,可在未來的檢驗醫學發展和構建中發揮重要作用。在智能化及以人工智能作為平臺,可以實現臨床化學與免疫學、血液學及體液學檢驗領域的自動判斷和審核、在細胞形態學的自動化識別、實驗室物流系統、遠端控制與增強現實、自動采血機器人研發與應用等方面,檢驗醫學領域的人工智能技術將有更深入的研究與發展,具有廣闊的發展空間。
Since the birth of artificial intelligence (AI), with both the theory and technology are gradually matured, it is inevitable that AI’s applications become a popular area for development now and in the future. Different from other applied sciences, AI is new and unique, and with future potential. The growth of AI concept is inseparable from the recent development of computer technology in the past decades. In the expected future, the applications of this modern concept, AI, will become an omnipresent idea and accepted by people from all walks of life, including its obvious application in medicine. In fact, there have being more potential implementations of precision medicine with AI these day, as the chairman of the International Clinical Chemistry Committee (IFCC) Mr. Maurizio Ferrari has pointed out in a report "How to imagine the future of laboratory medicine" that: The future development of laboratory medicine will rely on electronic computers and information technology. From years of creation and innovation on medical industry, automatic diagnosis and result confirmation systems, using AI platform, would be able to build and applied in medical laboratory and in the fields of clinical chemistry, immunology, hematology and humoral testing. Using AI to interpret test results, especially those new technologies including automatic cell recognition system and automatic identification system for cell morphology, a much more powerful medical laboratory is then possible. Other than those, AI can also assist the developments and applications of the following systems; such as laboratory logistics system, remote control system, augmented reality and automatic blood collection robots, and so on. There will be more in-depth and broad research and new areas to be explored in Artificial Intelligence technology in Laboratory Medicine.
