台灣塑膠產業分析及競爭優勢研究-以防火等級氯化聚氯乙烯(CPVC)產品為例

摘要


近年來由於開發中國家經濟持續成長,並擴大其基礎建設,因此,對鋼鐵需求量逐年提高,造成國際鋼鐵能源嚴重不足,導致鋼鐵價格高漲,嚴重影響公共工程及建築業新建案件之造價。同時在各消防工程水系統管路中也是採用鍍鋅鋼管,連帶也受到缺貨及鋼管成本提高之影響。面對此波的原物料價格上漲趨勢,各界都在尋找新的替代能源及有效的方式來降低成本或提高競爭力。而運用在消防領域中新的替代性產品防火等級CPVC合成樹酯管在歐美等國已經推行多年且於市場上之佔有率有逐年提高之趨勢,反觀國內卻對此一產品尚屬陌生,因此本研究以產業分析及競爭優勢的角度試著探討我國CPVC塑膠廠商競爭優勢的關鍵因素,以為國內業者尋找未來發展利基。整體研究架構及結果如下所述: 1. 根據文獻探討擬定研究架構作為CPVC產業分析之基本架構,並瞭解CPVC產業之市場發展現況與趨勢 2. 評估開發具利基之新產品,以利進軍國際CPVC供應鏈市場 3. 立足台灣,開拓國際CPVC市場 4. 利用異業策略聯盟厚植實力,以提高市場占有率

Along with the rapid economic growth of emergent countries in recent years, the steel demand from tremendous infrastructure construction keeps increasing in these countries. The steel supply has been struggling to keep up with the demand in international market, therefore the price of steel raw material rises significantly. Moreover, the steel price, just like other raw material, keeps its upward trend without showing any sign of slow down. As a consequence, this key material cost pressure has seriously impact the overall cost and delivery lead time of important public constructions and engineering projects. Being directly impacted by this material shortage and cost rise, the zinc-coated steel piping system that is used most in fire protection engineering projects takes no exception in this overall cost increasing. Finding less expensive material in alternative and developing more efficient or effective utilization model has become an important task to all. From this point of view, the CPVC (Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride) application in fire protection piping system started years ago in the US and European countries, and its market segment share is growing. The CPVC is a new material to the domestic fire protection industry and an opportunity for replacing some zinc-coated steel piping in certain application. By performing industry analysis and competitive advantages study of CPVC application in fire protection system thru this research, we like to figure out the key factors on strategy making and execution for CPVC product suppliers, engineering company and other players in the domestic fire protection industry value chain. The research structure and expected results are as below: (1) To develop research structure based on CPVC industry analysis from literature review. To introduce CPVC market current status and direction. (2) The evaluation of the new niche product development that has the potential competitiveness for international market (3) To integrate the CPVC products into the current fire protection domestic industry value chain, and develop innovative usage models of product application for international market penetration. to increase overall market segment share by strategic alliance across industries
