在有機金屬化學研究領域當中,利用aryl halides 和 thiols 作過渡金屬催化的交叉耦合反應是受到重視的。aryl-sulfur bonds 是盛行於許多分子用於生物,醫藥和材料科學。在以往文獻當中合成 aryl-sulfur bonds,往往需要苛刻的條件。在此篇報告中,我們研究一個較溫和的條件,使用 CuO/m-ZrO2 當作觸媒來催化 aryl halides 和 thiols 。此方法可以廣泛產生不同官能基 thioether 衍生物。 對於再回收的活性測試方面,該催化體系可進行五次的再回收反應,仍有 80% 以上的產率,證明我們的觸媒不但擁有極好的催化活性,也能進行具有經濟效益的再回收反應。
A transition-metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction between aryl halides and thiols is an actively investigated field in organometallic chemistry. The aryl-sulfur bonds are prevalent in many molecules used in biological, pharmaceutical and material sciences. Formerly, the syntheses of aryl-sulfur bonds often require harsh conditions. Here we report a cheap, and environmentally friendly catalytic system on S-arylation coupling using CuO/m-ZrO2 as a catalyst. This methodology is applicable to a wide range of aryl thiols derivatives, and aryl iodides, bromides. The catalytic system can be reused for at least 5 times with only slight decrease in activity.
