摘要


LTE (Long-Term Evolution)為4G規格標準,為未來發展的重要方向。目前已從LTE Release8進化為LTE-Advanced Release 10。LTE網路架構由EPC (Evolved Packet Core)與E-UTRAN (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network)所組成。媒體存取控制層(Medium Access Control;MAC)則是在E-UTRAN無線存取網路協定之下所定義。本論文主要探討LTE-Advanced之MAC層中,使用者(User Equipment;UE)之入網過程以及下行傳輸中的功能與處理程序。本論文從系統架構開始介紹MAC層在架構中所在的位置,並且說明MAC層的通道對映(Channel mapping)與MAC層的功能,以及MAC層與實體層(Physical layer;PHY)之間的控制訊號的關聯。接著介紹系統資訊的分類,及各個系統資訊使用之排程與接收以及使用的傳輸格式,再說明多種不同目地與用途的隨機接入(Random Access)程序的流程。接著在使用者的下行傳輸中,詳述各種排程之下的控制訊號與數據的接收及處理的程序,並且說明數據在HARQ機制裡所作的HARQ程序處理的流程。最後介紹在MAC層中所有使用的MAC PDU及其格式和其中參數,了解解多工(De-multiplexing)的處理流程。

LTE (Long-Term Evolution) is the standard for 4G. LTE has been developed form LTE Release 8 to LTE-A (Release 10). The network architecture of LTE is formed with two parts: Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN). The MAC Layer protocol standard is belonging to the E-UTRAN. In this paper, we discuss the functions and procedures such as Random Access and downlink transmission provided by MAC Layer in User Equipment in LTE-A. We specify the channels mapping and function in MAC Layer, and describe the control signaling between MAC Layer and Physical Layer (PHY). We also introduce the types in system information, system information scheduling and reception, specify Random Access procedure for various events or purposes and describe the reception and procedure in various different scheduling and HARQ procedure in HARQ Entity in the downlink transmission. Lastly we specify the Protocol Data Units, formats and parameters in MAC Layer specification.
