This objective of this thesis is to design and implement a sensorless PMSM drive. To reach the sensorless control, the stator flux which is used to sensorless control is estimated by stator voltage and current. The control algorithm of PMSM is vector control, the switching frequency of designed drive is 10 kHz. Moreover, the sampling frequency of current and speed loop are 10 kHz and 333 Hz, respectively. In this thesis, the mathematical model of PMSM is analyzed first, and using the parameters of PMSM design the controller. Then, derive the expression of rotor flux to estimated rotor position substitute rotor position sensor. Finally, the simulation and experimental results are showed. Simulation and experimental results show the dynamic and steady state response according to designed specifications, and confirm the sensorless PMSM drive is workable on microcontroller unit.
