IEEE 802.11n是目前Wi-Fi聯盟所制定的最新傳輸標準,各家無線研發廠商無不投入大量的研發資源在此新技術上,務求在最短時間內推出相關應用實作體,以祈市場上能有一定程度的市佔率。 802.11n一般通稱為「MIMO」,全名為「Multiple Input,Multiple Output」。透過「多天線」、「通道整合」、「強化MAC與訊框承載能力」等技術來提升原有Wi-Fi效能,除了改善原先在室內死角處會有收訊不佳情況外,並將效能由原先最大為54Mbps提升了六倍之多外。 本論文的目的就是將802.11n技術實作體化,除了符合802.11n技術規範之外,在硬體規格上,除將原先僅只有10/100 Mbps的網路線埠提升為10/100/1000 Mbps網路線埠外,並增加POE (Power Over Ethernet)的功能與整體成本cost down,如此一來可大幅提升實作體競爭力與利潤。
