特殊火星塞對引擎燃燒之影響

The Effects of Special Spark Plugs on Engine Combustion

摘要


火星塞是汽油引擎的重要裝置,會影響引擎燃燒、性能、油耗、及污染。由於坊間出現各種不同材質特殊火星塞,均標榜省油,燃燒完全及提升馬力,有鑑於此,本研究特收集各種特殊火星塞,與傳統火星塞作一連串實驗,及理論分析比較。 本研究是以特殊火星塞安裝於華擎1.3L引擎上作各種狀況實驗。實驗方法為利用華擎1.3L引擎,安裝傳統火星塞,與各種特殊火星塞於引擎上,將引擎轉速固定於2500rpm,節氣門開度依序由全關(怠速),至20%,40%,60%,80%,全負荷(節氣門開度100%)作馬力,扭力,燃料消耗率及引擎各種排放廢氣量(CO, HC, NOX, CO2 )的實驗,並觀察各控制變因所造成的影響。 實驗結果,引擎在原廠設定的空燃比之下,特殊火星塞對引擎扭力、油耗、及污染的影響很小,所以在正常狀況下不需使用特殊火星塞,但是使用於稀薄燃燒時,特殊火星塞可能有其效用。

Spark plug is an import device of gasoline engine. It will affect the engine combustion, performance, fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions. Various kinds of spark plugs made from different materials are sold on the market. All of them claim to save fuel, help the fuel burn completely, and raise horsepower; therefore, the researcher experimented on traditional spark plugs and other special plugs to compare the results. It is valuable to study the effect of spark plug on engine combustion and performance. This paper tends to explore the effects of spark plugs on engine combustion by fitting special spark plugs to a 1.3L engine of Advance Power Investment Co. The engine was tested with engine dynamometer. The operation condition is to fix the engine speed at 2500rpm. By adjusting the throttle opening, from completely closed, to 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and finally wide open. The experimental results of engine torque, horsepower, fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions were measured and analyzed. The results indicate that special spark plugs do not affect engine performance, fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions under normal air fuel mixture. However, the special spark plugs might be effective for lean burn engine.
