本研究以通用設計原則檢驗手持式訂書機之使用性(usability)。隨著醫療科技的進步與人們壽命的增長,近年來有許多企業逐漸重視高齡者生活產品的研究開發。本研究以通用設計(Universal Design)的角度,探討使用者操作手持訂書機之使用性,發現訂書機的回饋對於使用者的施力在使用上會造成影響。藉此,以通用設計的原則,配合使用性評估,發展出一套可檢測訂書機通用設計的評量機制。 首先,透過專家焦點團體訪談,對經通用設計改良之訂書機定義並挑選出四支手持訂書機。其次,針對五組不同肌力變化之使用者共100位進行實驗檢測。分別檢測二項任務:(1) 訂書針裝填實驗;(2) 裝訂紙張堆疊厚度實驗。各項測試分別記錄其操作時間、錯誤率、完成度和主觀滿意度,並以SPSS 統計分析。研究發現:(1) 在裝訂紙張堆疊厚度實驗中,樣本一與樣本三在針對肌力的弱勢族群比樣本二與樣本四有較佳的表現,與「專家檢測」的結果一致,顯示樣本一與樣本三的機構設計適用於較廣泛的使用族群;(2) 在訂書針裝填實驗中,樣本三與樣本四針對肌力的弱勢族群比樣本一與樣本二的完成度更高,結果與「專家檢測」的結果一致,其失誤率較低,顯示經通用設計改良之訂書機在訂書針裝填機構設計上仍有改善的空間。
This study aims to examine the usability of hand-held stapler by Universal Design value. With the advanced medical technology,and people’s long life expectancy the production for the.In recent years, in recent year, the research and development of aged people have been under taken by corporation. This research,viewed from the point of Universal Design, discovers that the feedback from the staplers will affect the strength of user and the visual measurement. Hereby, it can apply the value of Universal Design, and cooperating with the usability valuation, develope a way to examine the Universal Design for staplers. Through the interviews with the experts, this research selected 4 staplers designed in Universal Design principles, and divided 100 people into five groups with different muscle strength. The experiment is conducted to examine the strength of the staplers and the accuracy of visual measurement while using. There were four different hand-held staplers to be examined with the stapler filling and the thickness of papers. The operating time, mistakes rate and subjective satisfaction were recorded in each test, and analyzed in Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. (Each test will take notes of duration of usage, times for mistake taken and subjective fulfillment, and analyze by SPSS. ) The research found:(1)In the experiment of stapling papers with different thickness, sample 1 and 3 perform better for the subjects with lower muscle strength. With the same result as experts’ tests, Sample 1 and 3 are much suitable for more user groups. (2)in the experiment of filling, sample 3 and 4 are easier and more effective for people with lower muscle strength. The results were concert with experts’ test, and it also made fewer mistakes. The staplers which are designed in Universal Design principles still can be improved in filling.
