聚丙烯/聚對苯二甲酸丙二酯摻合體之相容性及結晶行為研究

摘要


聚丙烯(Poly propylene)及新興高分子材料聚對苯二甲酸丙二酯(poly trimethylene terephthalate)使用熔融摻混的方式做成PP/PTT聚摻合體,利用微分掃瞄熱卡計(DSC)、動態機械分析儀(DMA)、偏光顯微鏡(POM)、X光繞射儀(XRD)、熱重損失分析儀(TGA),觀察此聚摻合體的結晶特性、玻璃轉移溫度(Tg)點、結晶區之結晶型態及相容性。動態機械分析儀(DMA)觀察聚摻會物的Tg,PP的加入並不會使PTT的Tg有大幅的變化。偏光顯微鏡(POM)觀察到在少量PTT(14%)加入到PP後,PP/PTT是呈部份相容的形態,但其它組成,卻看到PTT與PP呈現相分離的型態。微分掃瞄熱卡計(DSC)發現PP及PTT的結晶度及結晶速率皆隨他成份而呈現先升後降的趨勢,並且透過Avrami equation及modified Avrami equation分析聚摻合體在等溫結晶及非等溫結晶,在等溫結晶部份,PTT的n值接近3,但在非等溫結晶部份,n值在PTT部份約4。接著利用Hoffman-Weeks方法,預測出各摻混系統的平衡熔點,發現PTT的平衡熔點會因PP的加入而升高。熱重損失分析儀(TGA)測定聚摻合體之熱裂解溫度,隨PP成份的增加,其熱裂解溫度隨之提高。

The crystallization behavior, glass transition temperature, morphology and miscibility of poly(trimethylene terephthalate)/poly(propylene) blends was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), dynamic mechanical analyzer(DMA), polarized-light microscopy(POM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), and Thermal Gravimetric Analysis(TGA). Glass transition temperature of PTT obtained form DMA did not change much with the increase of PP component . Under POM, we found that PP/PTT blends with PTT less than 14% is miscible, but immisible for other component. The degree of crystallization and crystallization rate in PP/PTT blends first increased and then decreased with the addition of other component. The crystallization behavior could be analyzed using Avrami and modified Avrami equation for isothermal and nonisothermal crystallization. In isothermal crystal, the n value of PTT is near 3, but the n value of PTT in nonisothermal crystallization is near 4. The equilibrium melting point was obtained using the Hoffman-Weeks method; the equilibrium melting temperature of PTT might be increased with the addition of PP component. The degration temperatre observed from TGA increased with the increase of PP component.
