具雙向功能的單通導腦波儀文字輸入系統設計

A Mindtyping System by Single Channel BCI with Bi-Directional Function

摘要


近期, 非侵入式低成本腦波儀逐漸普及,腦波控制的人機互動系統指目可待,但是建立一個理想的操作系統介面是重要的議題。因此本研究在實驗過程探討各種人因, 試圖找出影響效率的因素,以作為後續設計參考。 能配合腦機技術特性,設計新的輸入介面,和以往腦波儀文字輸入系統不同是本研究的系統介面加設一個迴返功能。為了測驗此功能是否能提高效率。本研究使用Unity和ThinkGear 晶片建構四套由腦波控制的輸入系統,要求12位受測者個別進行50次測試並測其完成時間。得到結論是迴返功能可以提高文字輸入效率, 但是系統指令過多也可能會降低效率。

Recently, the low cost BCI becomes more popular on the market. But there is not any suitable operating system or interface of mindtyping system with BCI for users. We will discuss the factors which will improve the mindtyping efficiency and which will be the references for later designers. We design an innovative mindtyping system with a bi-directional cycling function which can improve the mindtyping efficiency. The new function has been proved by the test in this study. We designed four mindtyping systems with different operating modes and invite 12 volunteers to test the systems. Throughout 50 times of the test, the bi-directional cycling function is evidently useful to make the efficiency of mindtyping better. However, we also find out that the mindtyping system with complicated functions easily results in a worse efficiency.
