快速原型在滑鼠模型製作上之可行性研究

摘要


本論文旨在探討快速原型技術(Rapid Prototyping Technology)於產品開發上之應用。由於傳統上CNC製作的模型費用高且加工時間長,所以若在滑鼠開發階段導入快速原型技術,希望能夠藉此縮短產品開發的時間、降低製作模型的成本。然而,不同的加工技術各有其優、缺點,快速原型技術也不盡然可以完全取代傳統的加工技術,更何況,快速原型技術所開發出不同的系統,亦有不同的特性,所以本研究希望可以探討常用的快速原型技術對製作滑鼠的適合性進行分析討論。 本研究是以滑鼠開發為研究對象,首先使用Pro/ENGINEER設計3個滑鼠的外型,之後使用Z Corp、FDM製作滑鼠的外型模型,接下來選擇一個外型設計作為量產的對象,然後再使用Pro/ENGINEER設計滑鼠按鍵、電池蓋、下蓋、上蓋的機構,最後使用CNC、SLA、FDM製作滑鼠的機構模型。 研究的結論是Z Corp模型可以用來讓客戶確認產品的外型,進而縮短產品開發所需要的時間;如果模型表面需要噴漆或者是類似模具射出的模型,則可以選擇FDM製作的外型模型。SLA因為材質又硬又脆,所以適合用來製作滑鼠上蓋、下蓋的機構模型;FDM使用的材質類似ABS,所以適合用來製作滑鼠下蓋、電池蓋、按鍵的機構模型。

This paper explores the application of Rapid Prototyping Technology on product development. Traditionally, CNC requires high cost and long lead time manufacturing mockup or prototype. So if the rapid prototype technique can be phased in at the development stage of mouse, it will be expected to shorten the time of product development and reduce the cost. However, different processing technologies have specific excellent or weakness; even the rapid prototyping technique can’t completely replace traditional processing technology. Furthermore, different systems those developed by rapid prototyping technique also have different characteristic. This research hopes to inquire into the common use of rapid prototyping technique to carry on an analysis and discussion on manufacture of mouse. This research takes the development of mouse as the object. Use Pro/ENGINEER to design 3 mice in the first, Z Corp and FDM to manufacture the mockup after. Then, pick one out as the MP model; finish the mechanical designs of the button, battery cover, lower case, and upper case with Pro/ENGINEER; construct the prototype with CNC, SLA and FDM. The conclusion is:The mockup manufactured by Z Corp can be applied to help customer check the look and design of a product; shorten the time that product development needs. If the surface needs spraying paint or it’s a mold-injecting mockup, then we can choose units constructed by FDM. Because the material applied to SLA is usually hard and brittle, it’s suitable to manufacture the mockup of upper case and lower case of mouse. The material FDM uses is similar to ABS, so it suits to use to manufacture the mockup of lower case, battery cover, and button of mouse.
