摘要


本論文於網路模擬器Network Simulator 2(NS2)平台上提出一個模擬無線網路傳輸視訊串流架構,此架構整合傑克斯傳播模型(Jakes Model)、MPEG-4編碼器/解碼器軟體模組、影像品質評估工具。藉由傑克斯傳播模型模擬無線網路的通道衰減現象,觀察並記錄影像封包傳輸的遺失行為,進而了解其對影像品質的影響。 對於影像品質的評估,本論文將採取主觀式與客觀式兩種量測方式,主觀式量測將藉由無線網路接收端對於影片品質觀感進行評估,客觀式量測則由所收集的無線網路模擬數據進行PSNR分析,並以此兩種評估方式,觀察無線網路通道衰減對視訊品質的影響。

This paper investigates the quality of streaming MPEG-4 video over Multipath interference on wireless networks using an integrated framework, which comprises an MPEG-4 encoder/decoder, a network simulator and video quality evaluation tools. By jakes model simulates on a wireless network then observed and recorded the video packets loss in the transmission on wireless network to explore the impact on image quality. The evaluation of digital video quality in this paper use two methods namely subjective measurement and objective measurement.Subjective quality measurement based on the user's impression after watching the received digital video. Objective quality measurement is the calculation of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) frame by frame by the network trace file.By these two methods the image quality can be observed in the Multipath wireless network.
