This research integrated the design of rolling and folding functions of a circular knitting machine, using a single power input for the entire mechanism with the clutch as its key component. The clutch played an important role. When it is not engaged, rolling function is used, while the folding function is activated when engaged. The integration of rolling and folding functions raises the value of the machine. This research followed previous works to study knitting machine. Previous analysis and classification were referred to create better mechanism type. A 3D model was built for detailed design and simulation to determine feasible dimensions. Finally, a new rolling and folding mechanism was designed, built, and filed for patent application
