摘要


分散式視訊編碼藉由將複雜度移至解碼端,可以有效降低編碼硬體的成本。本論文提出以區塊(block)為單位的分散式視訊編碼架構,在編碼端做簡單的快速區塊模式的分類(block mode classification ),以極簡單的動作估計,將區塊分類為Wyner-Ziv區塊或intra區塊。Wyner-Ziv區塊使用turbo coding來做更正, intra 區塊使用H.264 intra coding直接編碼,本論文提出更具彈性的intra區塊更新法則,以提高編碼效率。在解碼端利用所做過的快速區塊模式分類的資訊,來輔助解碼旁資訊的建立。相較於以區塊為單位的分散式編碼架構,本論文所提出的方法,對於較靜態的視訊內容,在較低碼率下能有較高之PSNR。

The distribution video coding(DVC) can reduce the cost of encoding complexity by moving the time-consuming operation to the decoding end. This paper proposes a new block-based DVC coding scheme . By making simple fast motion estimation at the encoder, the blocks are classified into the Wyner-Ziv blocks or the intra blocks. The Wyner-Ziv blocks uses turbo coding to make the correction apart from the side information, and the intra blocks uses the H.264 intra coding. The block classification information generated at the encoder is employed at the decoder for better side-information generation. Furthermore, we propose a flexible intra-block renewal principle to increase the coding efficiency. Compared with other DVC methods in the literature, the method presented in this paper has higher PSNR under the same code rate for more still videos.
