PC為基礎相容BDA架構的即時軟體無線電數位電視廣播接收器設計與實作

Design and Implementation of a PC-Based Real-Time BDA-Compatible Software DVB-T Receiver

摘要


在本論文中,我們設計與實作一個PC為基礎相容BDA架構的即時軟體無線電數位電視廣播接收器以提高PC為基礎的軟體無線電數位電視廣播接收器的通用性使其能相容於大部分的相容BDA架構的電視撥放軟體。研究人員不用自己實作電視撥放軟體可以減少開發時間讓研究人員可以專心於基頻處理研究。此接收器的硬體架構由RF front-end、A/D converter 與 USB 2.0 controller 晶片所組成。軟體部分為一BDA相容的驅動程式,負責控制接收器的硬體與基頻處理,實作結果顯示用此接收器在Microsoft widnows平台上可使用大部分相容BDA架構的電視撥放軟體即時撥放台灣數位地面電視廣播的SD (16QAM) 節目,且套用BDA架構並不會影響CPU負荷率。

This paper proposes the first software-defined radio (SDR) digital video broadcasting-terrestrial (DVB-T) receiver based on Microsoft broadcast driver architecture (BDA). Based on BDA, it could enhance its generality to be compatible with most of mature BDA-compatible TV players available to make user watching TV on a standard PC as conveniently as on a TV set and make SDR researchers don’t need to implement a full-featured TV player themselves. This receiver consists of a hardware section and a software section, the hardware section is composed of a RF front-end, an A/D converter and a USB 2.0 controller chip, the software section is a driver based on the BDA architecture for hardware-controlling and baseband-processing. The implementation result shows that on the standard PC with Intel core i7 2600k (3.4GHz) it is feasible to use this receiver to play DVB-T SD(16QAM) programs in Taiwan in real time using most of BDA-compatible players on Microsoft window operating systems; moreover, the proposed receiver has the same CPU loading as the PC-based SDR non-BDA-compatible DVB-T receiver.
