In this study, we used the enamel shade porcelain powder (American Pentron®) mixed with 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% nano-ZnO particles. The pre-shaped samples were first dried at 540ºC for 5 min and then fired for 820ºC, 860ºC, 900ºC, and 940ºC, respectively. The results showed that the addition of nano-ZnO particle could enhance the antibacterial properties of dental porcelain. Porcelain with 15~20% nano-ZnO and firing at 900ºC would reveal the excellent ability. This study will continue to advance the dental porcelain surface character and enable it to have the better antibacterial ability.
