液晶顯示器用之切換式直流對直流升壓控制晶片設計

摘要


本論文提出ㄧ種不需鋸齒波產生器和誤差放大器的架構,其係利用比較器和輸出固定責任比的振盪器來替代鋸齒波訊號,藉此控制開關的動作,完成升壓式直流電壓控制晶片,以提供15伏特直流偏壓給小尺寸液晶顯示器(Liquid Crystal Display, LCD)。該控制晶片係利用TSMC 0.35um 2P4M 混合信號製程來設計,所完成的晶片面積大小約為0.42*0.52 mm2。當輸入電壓範圍為3.0-3.6V與工作頻率在1 MHz條件下,其輸出電壓可維持在15V 10%以內,且其輸出電流約為50mA,效率也可維持在85%以上。

This paper proposes a switched-mode boost DC-DC converter, which doesn’t need not only a saw-tooth wave generator but also an error amplifier. By using a comparator and a fixed duty-cycle oscillator, the proposed controller will offer a high DC voltage of 15V to drive the LED backlight driver for Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The chip area is about 0.42*0.52 mm2 , which is implemented with TSMC 0.35 um 2P4M mixed-mode process. Under the conditions of the input supply voltage of 3.0-3.6 V and the signal frequency of 1 MHz, the chip can provide a regulated 15V 10% output voltage and a power efficiency of greater than 85%.
