The use of bio-fuels offers the possibility to decrease the carbon dioxide emission and reduce the dependence on petroleum. In this work, the combination techniques of Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR), Mahalanobis Distance in Principal Component Space (MDPCS)and Partial Least Square (PLS) have been demonstrated to be a successful and efficient method to establish a real-time quantitative analysis database for bio-fuels addition. The prospect for using imported bio-fuels raw materials is also evaluated from economic point of view in this thesis.
