According to the standards, loudspeaker performance should be measured inside the anechoic room. In actually, performance would be affected by cabin reflections, diffractions or other factors when speakers were installed in a car. Therefore, this paper will explore the actual sound field characteristics of all speakers inside the car by systematic experiments. In order to simulate the human hearing behaviors, all experiments are using Bruel& Kjaer Head& Torso Simulator to measure frequency response of speakers to assess real performance inside the car. The purpose of this study is to improve the car audio system design and analysis.
