添加難消化性麥芽糊精之玉米粒對於糖尿病大鼠的血糖與抗氧化能力調控之影響

Effects of kernel supplemented with resistant maltodextrin on blood glucose and antioxidation in diabetic rats

摘要


本研究之目的為探討添加難消化性麥芽糊精 (resistant maltodextrin, RMD) 之玉米粒是否有助於的糖尿病血糖調控,進而改善血脂代謝與提升肝中抗氧化能力之影響。實驗分四組,除控制組 (control, n = 10) 外,其餘三十隻雄性 Wistar 大鼠以 streptozotocin 與 nicotinamide 誘發成糖尿病,成功後以亂數法分為糖尿病控制組 (DM, n=10)、玉米粒中添加難消化性麥芽糊精之1倍 (9.6%) 劑量組 (RMD, n=10) 及2倍 (19.2%) 劑量組 (2RMD, n=10),RMD 與 2RMD 組別飼料以玉米粒中添加難消化性麥芽糊精混入AIN-93M粉末飼料部分取代醣類、蛋白質、脂質及纖維質,共餵養四週。四週後結果顯示 RMD 與 2RMD 組的空腹血糖值、葡萄糖濃度曲線下面積 (area under the curve, AUC) 、HOMA-IR (homeostasis model of assessment - insulin resistance) 指標與禁食血漿三酸甘油酯有顯著低於 DM 組別 (p < 0.05)。而禁食血漿總膽固醇濃度,2RMD 組降低至與控制組無顯著差異。RMD 與2RMD 組之肝功能指標 GOT 與 GPT 活性顯著低於 DM 組 (p < 0.05) 。而 RMD 與 2RMD 組的肝中抗氧化酵素 superoxide dismutase (SOD) 提升至與控制組無顯著差異。另外 RMD 與 2RMD 組的 catalase (CAT) 與抗氧化物質 glutathione (GSH) 雖有上升趨勢,但未達到顯著差異。因此推論每日給予糖尿病大鼠1倍劑量或2倍劑量的添加難消化性麥芽糊精之玉米粒四週,有助於降低空腹血糖值、減緩飯後血糖值的上升、降低HOMA-IR值、降低血漿中三酸甘油酯與膽固醇,另外,可改善糖尿病造成的肝功能異常,能提升其肝中抗氧化酵素 SOD 的活性。

The purpose of this study was to examine the regulatory mechanisms of kernel supplemented with resistant maltodextrin (RMD) on blood glucose and antioxidation in diabetic rats. Forty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control (n = 10), diabetes (n = 10, DM), diabetes and treated with kernel containing 9.6% RMD (n = 10, RMD), and diabetes and treated with kernel containing 19.2% RMD (n = 10, 2RMD) groups. Diabetic rats were induced by streptozotocin and nicotinamide. Diets for RMD and 2RMD groups were modified from AIN-93M rodent diet. The results showed that kernel supplemented with RMD for 4 weeks significantly reduced elevated fasting blood glucose, glucose area under curve, HOMA-IR (homeostasis model of assessment - insulin resistance) index , triglycerides, total cholesterol, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase and glutamic pyruvic transaminase activities (p < 0.05) , and significantly increased hepatic superoxide dismutase activity as compared with the DM group (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that kernel supplemented with RMD partially reverses hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia, abnormal liver functions in diabetic rats.
