摘 要
台灣每年都會有林火發生，根據林務局至2003年間之森林火紀錄統計，每年林火平均發生接近42 次，大多數都是人為因素所占的比率比較多。每年森林火災害造成的大自然資源和社會成本都是無價可計，所以森林火災防救措施是全國上下人民不可輕忽的重要工作。而政府單位多年來則是經由行政院農委會林務局、內政部消防署以及各縣市消防局來加強投入森林火災預防和撲滅工作。
由於世界各地之森林火災不是隨時隨地一直發生，所以在林火延燒之救火技術上與防火系統上，則是更需要一個現代高科技法寶─電腦模擬軟體來幫忙。由於科技的發達，世界各國已經相繼運用高科技產品進行防火、滅火行動，而利用電腦模擬軟體輔助運算研究下，讓林業人員更加快速的完成任務，所以台灣更是需要運用電腦模擬軟體來模擬預防林火之危險度，以便提早分析出預測林火之擴張模式和範圍大小。
本文則是採用九十年二月十八日雪山東峰森林大火為研究案例，利用Farsite林火行為模擬軟體來模擬出林火擴散模式，以實例為分析背景情況下，利用燃料系統之各類型與氣象因子（風速、風向、相對濕度、當日平均溫）來做出燃燒面積、擴散速率、熱釋放率來分析比較森林火災之林火特性。

ABSTRACT
Forest fires happen frequently and impose great damage to environment and ecological system. According to Forestry Bureau’s statistics until 2003, forest fire happened about 42 times every year and it’s almost happened to human’s negligence. So it’s an important for everybody to prevent forest fire.
According to every countries use high technology to take fireproof installations and put on a fire. Taiwan needs to simulate forest fire by using computer’s numerical analysis. Then study utilizes a computer code-FARSITE, developed by US/Forest Bureau, to study the forest fire dynamics subject to various important factors.
