摘要

本論文針對後PC時代，資訊家電化與家庭網路漸趨普及的趨勢，設計一個互動性良好之介面，以內嵌式系統製作一個整合3C功能的家庭多媒體中心，只要將主機接上電視機以及電話線，透過電視遙控器與遙控鍵盤，即可使用HomeMighty的各項功能，包括：家庭電影院、家庭音樂廳、家庭電信局、網際遨遊、電子郵件、家庭KTV、家庭教室、家庭遊樂場等。除了上述功能之外，此系統亦具備分析碟片格式的能力，更可搭配其他硬體，如：印表機、掃描器、數位相機等配備，做多種輸出/輸入之處理。如此，將可使電腦以不同於以往的親切外貌，融入生活之中。

Due to the proliferation of information appliance and home networking in the post PC era, we developed and implemented a home multimedia center, HomeMighty. It provides a whole set of 3C functionalities, including home movie theater, Web TV, audio system, computer telephone integration, Internet, electronic mail, KTV, virtual classroom, game playing, video conference, electronic commerce, and other networking services. The development of HomeMighty is also meant to provide an experiment for blending the PC seamlessly into our daily life.
