摘要


嵌入式系統是一種軟硬體整合架構,相似於電腦系統,具有微處理器、記憶體、輸出入單元、並透過一個小型的作業系統來做整合控制。嵌入式系統具有特定的用途與目的,應用隨處可見,如行動電話、影音設備、運輸系統…等。由於嵌入式系統具有軟硬體整合在單一晶片上的特性,但缺乏動態更新的能力,如果應用需求有所變動更新,則舊的系統就會被淘汰。而若要增加使用彈性,擴大系統設計,就會造成硬體使用率差,高耗電等缺點。若嵌入式系統具有可自我重組態的能力以及可自我組態更新的架構,便可改善系統的缺點,成為一個同時具有彈性與效能的折衷架構,亦能延長系統在市場上的週期。因此,本論文提出了一個重組態軟體機制,此機制可賦予嵌入式作業系統自我動態更新的能力,以實現嵌入式系統可自我重組態的特性,建構一個可以自我彈性更新硬體架構的嵌入式系統平台。而在論文的最後也針對這樣的改進做出未來發展的探討。

Embedded system is an integrated architecture of software and hardware. Similar to computer system, embedded system contains a microprocessor, memory units, input/output units and an embedded operating system. It is usually used for specific purposes, for example, mobile phones, multimedia, transportation system…etc. Due to the characteristic of system-on-a-chip, embedded systems are lack of reconfigurable flexibility. Therefore, old system will be eliminated as the application requirements change. But if we design a large system to contain many application requirements, the system will run into some drawbacks with low usage of hardware resources and high power consumption. Embedded system can be improved by provided with abilities of self reconfiguration and architecture, then it becomes a new architecture trading of between flexibility and performance. It also has much competition in market. Hence we propose a software mechanism of reconfiguration. It can give an embedded operating system with the characteristic of self dynamic reconfiguration. Furthermore, it can construct a self dynamic reconfigurable embedded system.
