以 SNMP 為主的網路管理系統-故障管理子系統研究生：潘政雄
指導教授：林基成博士私立元智工學院電機暨資訊工程研究所摘要本論文
提供一套網路故障管理系統 (Network Fault Management System)，能夠
在 SNMP 和 MS-Windows 環境下，自動且有效辨識網路配備不正常運作的
明確原因。有別以往一般性的網管系統，需要管理人員設定偵查值，自行
比對判斷故障原因。本系統採用自動偵查分析的方式，幫管理員判斷網路
故障的原因。「自動化」能減少專業管理員人工的需求，而「精確的故障
回報」，可以避免回報的模糊而造成管理員的困擾，完全了取代管理員分
析網路故障致因的工作。本系統以管理集線器的橋接區域網路為主，所以
若有網路配備發生不正常的現象，能夠精確的辨別是集線器埠本身的問題
抑或是電腦網路卡的問題。要達成此目標，網路配備應配合提供由硬體支
援的網路管理功能，能夠自動檢測自身的故障問題，並將這些現象透過網
路回報給管理中心，如此我們才能達到故障管理的真正目的。

a network fault management system, automatically and effectively
detecting the faulty devices onthe network. With contrast to
current implementation ofmanagement system, ours will no longer
need the networkadministrators to laboriously watch the pure
low-leveleddata and analyze to see the network problems and
position exactly where the faulty device exists. Automatic
monitoring and detecting fault allows less requirement for
professional personnel. To correctly report the right The system
is running on a bridging network consisting of hubs. Hubs
support lots of fault-managing mechanism and are able to
communicate with the management center. With hubs, we can
preciselyand distinctly identify network problems from faulty
hub port s orfaulty PC network interface cards.
