PDM應用在產品開發流程效益之研究-以多功能事務機為例

摘要


全球化與資訊科技的進步,使得企業不得不面對快速變動的市場競爭,在面對世界高度壓力的產業競賽,愈來愈複雜的市場變化與客戶需求,愈來愈短的產品生命週期,企業應如何加速研發創新的速度,縮短新產品開發的時間,確切掌握產品的上市時機,成為企業經營的成敗關鍵。因此如何運用數位科技協助研究開發的流程,縮短或簡化繁瑣步驟,選擇正確有效的資訊工具輔助,便成為研究開發過程中不可或缺的重要因素。 進入21世紀,企業之間的競爭更加激烈,客戶對産品的個性化要求越來越高。越來越多的成功企業開始意識到企業真正的生命力在於新産品的創新能力。隨著資訊科技技術的日益成熟,企業競爭點從産品的成本、品質和上市時間轉向能夠快速因應市場變化的産品創新。將産品整個生命周期的所有資料收集並有效組織,透過提供一個統一的平台讓産品開發工程師隨時能夠共用、訪問並重複利用這些企業資產,在短時間內開發出高品質滿足客戶個性化要求的産品成爲衆多企業追求的目標。因此PDM(Product Data Management:産品資料管理)便應運而生。PDM系統就是輔助工程師管理産品資料和産品開發過程的工具,PDM系統可以看成是關於産品開發過程知識的系統,這些知識包括産品結構、歷史、存取/變更管理規則等。本研究目的主要在於瞭解並探討企業之產品資料管理系統在研發過程之建置與運作,而研發、生產與行銷部門間如何搭配應用此系統,又實際為研發創新過程帶來多少效益,透過個案研究配合系統思考方法,探討企業在面對國際高度競爭壓力下,如何應用PDM系統,一方面使企業在複雜競爭市場中進行有效率的經營,將企業管理、運作及智慧等資訊結合而成為知識,滿足客戶之需求與期望,另一方面將組織中珍貴的資料文件、重要歷史經驗,加以標準化作業程序整理、分類、儲存,使之效率化並成為企業的知識資產,強化企業知識管理,建立永久不墜的競爭優勢。

Globalization and the improvement of information technique confront corporations with constantly changing competition in market. In the world today, industrial contest is becoming more and more pierce and the transitions in market along with demand of customers are becoming more and more complicated. The life cycle of product is also becoming shorter and shorter. So corporations should accelerate their research and development along with innovation, shorten the development span of products, plot the schedule of outlay, and to perform successfully. Corporations may use digital technique to aid their R&D and they can also use effective information tools to shorten or simplify sophisticated procedures. All these have been indispensable to the course of R&D. In 21st century, competition among corporations becomes increasingly fierce and customers begin to demand moreand more personality of the products. More and more successful corporations begin to regard innovation of the products as primary vitality. With the maturity of information technique, the main competition that corporations face has shift from costs, quality, and layout schedule of the products to the innovation of products. So corporations should respond to changes in the market promptly. They also should collect and effectively organize all the data about product life cycle (PLC), offer a uniform plat. So the product engineers can occupy and use these assets whenever they need to. Many corporations aim to devise products with high quality and features in short time. And in this circumstance PDM system came into beginning. PDM system can help engineers in the management of product data and product development, which is composed of product structure, history and management regulations of modification. The main purpose of the research is to discuss how to establish and operate PDM system in R&D. It also discusses how PDM system is used jointly by different departments, such as R&D, production, and marketing. It also thinks about how much gains can be brought to R&D. We should combine special case and systematic thought in the research. We will also discuss how high-tech corporations under extreme competitive pressure can use PDM system to attain two important goals. One goal is to perform efficiently in sophisticated competitive market, and combine management, operation, and intelligence into knowledge in order to fulfill the demand and expectations of customers. The other goal is to sort out and store the precious data and important historical experience in the organization through activity procedure with high standard. So they will become more efficient and part of intangible assets. By doing this, corporations can improve their management and acquire competitive advantages in the long run.
