以傳播教育之觀點探究我國大專院校數位媒體教育之發展

摘要


在大媒體潮的推波助瀾之下,數位媒體的發展已改變了人們的閱聽模式,強調媒體整合與數位互動之特性,為人類開闊了全新的視野,也直接衝擊到傳統以媒介作為區隔之大眾傳播教育。本研究試從傳播教育之觀點出發,檢視傳播學門之現況,初探我國大專院校數位媒體教育之發展輪廓。 本研究以深度訪談法為主要研究方法,再輔以參與觀察法,彙整傳播學者的觀點,摘錄八項結論如下: 1.由於數位媒體匯流與整合的特性,影響傳播教育的課程規劃、器材使用、資源整合與師資應聘。 2.現有傳播學系因應數位媒體的發展而改名者,會遇到對系所名稱之名詞認知界定不同的問題,並需注重學系原先的優勢;而原傳播相關學系分設出數位媒體相關學系,其主要因素多為擴張校內力量;而新設數位媒體相關學系,端賴校務發展方向。 3.數位媒體教育之課程規劃方向,須預測業界未來幾年之人才需求。 4.數位媒體領域需要媒體整合及創意企劃之人才。 5.傳播相關學院考量實施學程制,主要因素為學程制之彈性較大;而考量辦理前段不分系則較接近於媒體匯流的因素,其他還須考量到教師的專業背景與轉型、學系資源分配、校務政策發展方向、教師本位主義等。 6.傳播相關學系轉型成數位媒體相關學系時,會遇到師資延聘、院系主管視野、經費資源缺乏及課程規劃等困難。 7.對於數位媒體之專業技術證照制度,多數學者認為不適合推行。 8.對於設立數位媒體相關學系之鼓勵設立政策,多數學者認為不適合推行。

The development of multimedia has changed the way people communicated. Their characteristics of media integration, digitalization, and interactivity have a great impact on the communication education. This paper is aimed at exploring the potential development of multimedia education in Taiwan based upon the perspective of the present communication education. The main research methods of this study are in-depth interviews and along with participant observation. After interviewing scholars, findings can be concluded as follows: 1.The characteristics of digital-media converged and integrated affect course planning of communication education, type of the facilities, resources integration and teacher qualified. 2.When department of communication modifies its name to match the rapid development of digital-media, problems of name identification show up. The department has to maintain its former features while changing to new names. What makes the former department to spread out new digital-media related department is the acquirement of more resources. The direction of newly established digital-media related department depends on school administration. 3.The course planning of digital-media education has to predict the demand of human resource in the coming years. 4.In the field of digital-media, creative people with integrating ability among different media are required. 5.The reason for related communication departments to adopt the course program is to make them more elastic. Owing to the media convergence, communication departments offer a general course for all the students in the first two years. Other reasons including the faculty’s background and transformation, the resource apportioned, the administrative policy and the departmentalism. 6.When department of communication changes to new digital-media related department will confront difficulties such as the teacher qualified, the vision of the president or dean, the constraint of budget and the course planning. 7.Most of the scholars think that’s unsuitable to promote digital-media technique professional license. 8.Most of the scholars think that’s unsuitable to encourage the establishment of related Digital-media department through government policy.
