近年來隨著我國產險意識高漲,使國內產險業之競爭更加激烈,故如何有效地經營產險事業,創造更有利的經營績效,勢必成為產險業生存根本之道。本研究應用資料包絡分析法與Tobit model來評估國內91年度我國24家產險業者之經營績效。經實証結果顯示:(1)國內的產險業已逐漸地邁入夕陽產業,應降低其產業規模與積極地開發新市場商埠。(2)在執行業務時,更不僅在車險業務中打轉,應積極推出新商品以提升經營優勢。(3)經差額變數分析結果,無效率之產險業者主要原因來自資源配置的不當,故在資源使用上仍應積極改善。(4)產險業者應致力於本業與業外之經營;且從敏感性分析中找尋攸關的投入與產出進而改善之,使得兩種模式之經營效率有所提升。(5)本國與外商業者之經營效率皆屬相同,研究對象不應將外商業者排除。(6)未聯盟者之經營效率竟優於聯盟者,顯示出未聯盟者自身有一定之經營優勢。(7)資本額、業務集中程度及加入聯盟與否是顯著影響我國產險業者之經營效率;員工人數多寡無法有效地影響其經營效率。(8)以聲望、獲利能力與市場佔有率等排名和經營效率相互比較分析,進而表達其管理意涵。
Recently, with the awareness of property-liability insurance industry increasing, it is more competitive in the property-liability insurance industry. How the property-liability insurance companies could be alive is to operate property-liability insurance efficiently. The study uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Tobit model to measure the operational efficiency for twenty-four property-liability insurance companies in Taiwan. The results of this show:(1)The non-life insurance companies should decrease scale and develop new market size because it had difficult operation gradually,(2) The non-life insurance business should operate diversify; it’s not only operated vehicles insurance, (3)In slack-analysis, inefficient non-life insurance companies are due to resources misallocation, (4)In sensitive-analysis, non-life insurance companies should devote to be performance of operating and investing activities, (5)No matter local or foreign proprietors, there operational efficiency is the same. The data is not excluded the foreign proprietors, (6) Non-strategy proprietors have more advantages than strategy proprietors, (7) Capital (net asset), service concentration, and strategy significantly influence the operational efficiency of non-life insurance companies, and(8)Using prestige, net income, market share, and operational efficiency is analysis, that express management implication.
