VoIP在未來電信產業上競爭之分析

摘要


網際網路快速的發展及普及化,不僅解決人們溝通的時空限制,也促進各種新興技術之崛起。VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)整合語音、視訊、多媒體及費率低廉等優勢,引起電信產業之革命。本研究主要以個案研究法,及資料收集方法,針對固網產業、ISP產業等進行SWOT分析,探討個案裡的產業,在目前通信市場發展有何優勢、劣勢、機會與威脅;另外VoIP技術的興起,對於個案裡的產業有何衝擊與影響?針對上述的問題整合分析歸納出,VoIP在未來的電信網路市場裡,生存發展競爭之策略。 經過本研究資料的整理與分析後,得到以下結論: 1、目前的電信市場環境,網路電話雖然在電信業中佔有一席之地,但不足以成為目前的電信市場的主流。 2、相關服務提供業者應該積極建設寬頻網路,結合上、下游廠商組織策略聯盟,降低整體營運成本,增加競爭力,建立品牌形象,提供數據、語音、影像三合一服務,提供客製化服務留住客戶,如此服務是未來網路電話與電信服務產業的發展趨勢。 3、網路電話未來發展,需跨平台整合於單一平台或介面,對於整個電信產業未來的發展,才能發揮最大效益。

The fast development and deployment of Internet does not only eliminate the limitation of space and time but also triggers invention of new technologies. The new telecom revolution has been brought by VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) from its advantage of combining voice, video and multi-media at an affordable price. This research uses case study and data collecting methods. By deploying SWOT analysis focusing on telecom and ISP (Internet Service Provider) as well as study the affection and impact of VoIP to the mentioned industries. The research concludes the possible competition and strategy in the future Telecom/Internet market of VoIP. The conclusions of this research are as follow: 1. Although Internet phone occupies a certain level of market share in telecom industry but it is not the main trend yet. 2. Providing service combining data, voice and video will be the market demand and trend. Thus, service providers are suggested to form strategically allies to establish brand image, reduce cost and devote resources aggressively on developing broadband structures in order to compete with other service providers. 3. For better telecom development and to gain maximum performance, future internet phones should be consolidated onto a single platform or protocol.
