本文主要介紹利用Tracepro光學模擬軟體,設計一個以LED作為背光源中型尺寸背光模組,針對背光模組的擴散板進行模擬、分析及設計。且LED的排列參照Lumileds公司的專利(US Patent 6607286、6679621),以期能將最後的模擬結果能夠與之相互比較與討論。並設計出一個符合要求的LED背光模組。 為了達到背光模組厚度薄,均勻度佳的要求,本文以擴散板內製造幾何形狀空洞結構,並且在擴散板下類似側向式背光模組導光板的楔型結構,使光由亮區導向暗區,達到光均勻化的效果。此種擴散板的設計包括角度與厚度等等,而由最好的模擬結果中我們可以得到一個均勻度高達96%以上的背光模組,而發光效率為80%,其輝度與均勻度皆達到業界要求,應能成為一個均勻照度及均勻白光的背光模組。
In this thesis, we use the TracePro optical simulation software to design the diffusion plate with "V" shaped hollow structure in order to guide light to dark region and then reflect out from the diffusion plate. The optimized result compared with the simulation result of using diffusion plate which does not have any structure, we improve the uniformity form 53% to as high as 96% and the efficiency is about 80%. We also obtain the brightness of 255nits by using theoretical calculation. Such results show that the diffusion plate works and that it can be applied to the novel backlight module.
