隨意型無線網路中提升省電機制之有效方法

摘要


隨意型無線網路(Ad Hoc Wireless Networks)的技術是近幾年經常被熱烈討論的議題,而隨著全球能源的日趨枯竭,省電機制的研究便日益的重要。 依據IEEE 802.11 對MAC層省電機制(Power Saving Mechanism)所頒佈的定義,我們可以發現節省能源的消耗(energy saving)與降低資料傳輸的延遲(transmission delay),猶如魚與熊掌般不易兼得。 本論文以此省電機制(Power Saving Mechanism)為基礎,針對先前相關的研究中對於資料視窗(Data Window)的假設部分給予一個目標明確的定義,以期達到更為省電的目的。 此外,我們並提出一套特殊的方法來減少同一傳輸路徑中資料碰撞(data collision)的機會,期使資料傳輸能更加的快速與順暢,進而提升整體網路的傳輸效能( transmission performance)。

The Ad hoc wireless network technology is a popular research topic recently. As the worldwide energy is almost being exhausted, the research for power saving becomes an important issue. According to the definition of IEEE 802.11 for Power Saving Mechanism in MAC layer, there is a tradeoff between the energy saving and the transmission delay. Based on the IEEE Power Saving Mechanism, this paper presents a target oriented definition for the assumption of Data Window proposed by several previous researchers, in order to save more energy. We also propose a set of specified methods to reduce the data collision during the transmission on the same routing path. Then, the data transmission may become more fast and smooth, and the overall network transmission performance will be improved efficiently.
