多媒體訊息在監控平台上之應用

摘要


台灣的3G網路於95年六月開通了,因數據資料傳送的速率加快,如多媒體訊息服務等需要大頻寬的服務將受到更多的矚目。過去十幾年一般簡訊服務帶給人們許多的便利,但不可諱言的它只能傳送文字,無法表達更多的資訊。所以隨著3G平台的開通使用,想必多媒體訊息將會蓬勃發展。 為了讓各種多媒體訊息服務的應用能快速發展,本論文發展一套多媒體訊息API,讓撰寫應用的程式設計師,只要呼叫API就可開發服務,而不需了解多媒體訊息實際運作的詳情。本論文並以監控系統作為測試範例,驗證此多媒體訊息API可正確地運作。

3G service in Taiwan is in operation since June 2006. The wider bandwidth of wireless communication has realized many bandwidth-consuming application services, such as Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS). For the past 10 years, the Short Message Services (SMS) was a great tool in communication. However, SMS is only capable of transferring simple text, and thus is limited in terms of usage and application services. The application of MMS will definitely be widely accepted as the underlying 3G platform is being quickly deployed. In order to allow various applications to easily and quickly take advantages of MMS, this thesis focuses on the development of a MMS API. For software developers, to use the API in the development of MMS application service, a strong solid knowledge of the MMS operation is no longer a requirement. This thesis also uses a surveillance system as the demo example to illustrate that the proposed MMS API is a workable product.
