摘要

Blog是Weblog的簡稱。Blog為提供雙向交流（Two-Way Communication）的互動平台，是一個讓人發表想法、意見或評論的網站（Web Site）。隨著網際網路（Internet）及行動網路（Mobile Networks）的擴展，行動Blogger可以使用智慧型手機（Smart Phone）及MIS（Mobile Internet Service）的方式來更新Blog內容。目前上市提供服務的全範圍（Full-Coverage）行動網路，例如：General Packet Radio Service（GPRS）/Universal Mobile Telecommunications System（UMTS），實際上只能提供大約30/300 Kbps的資料傳輸速率，因此不能有效的支援內容豐富的多媒體傳輸服務。相對於全範圍的GPRS/UMTS網路，在無線寬頻網路方面，WiMax（Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access）/WLAN（Wireless Local Area Network）能在都會/區域（Metropolitan/Local）的範圍中，提供將近75/30 Mbps的高速資料傳輸速率。有鑑於此，本論文提出Ubiquitous Blog（UBlog）的服務模式，並設計UBlog服務計費協定（UBlog Charging Protocol, UCP）與其最佳計價策略（Optimal Pricing Strategy, OPS）。將用戶分為Full-Coverage與Local兩類網路服務，透過改變之間的價格比率來影響服務的需求，以改善網路資源利用度並達成最大的收益。

Blog is abbreviated from Weblog. It is a website which serves as a platform of two-way communication for people to deliver opinion, suggestion, or comment. With the development of Internet and Mobile Networks, mobile bloggers are allowed to use smart phone and Mobile Internet Service (MIS) to update contents of their blog. The Full-Coverage mobile networks in services, such as General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), offer approximately 30/300 Kbps data transmission rate, therefore they cannot support the multimedia transmission service effectively. However, the wireless broadband networks, such as Wimax (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), provide approximately 75/30 Mbps high speed data transmission rate in the metropolitan/local area. In view of the characteristics mentioned above, this study proposes Ubiquitous Blog (UBlog) service model and designs UBlog Charging Protocol (UCP) and its Optimal Pricing Strategy (OPS). By dividing the users into two categories, Full-Coverage and Local, this study investigates the price ratio between Full-Coverage and Local to affect their demand of services to achieve the improvement of resource utilization and maximization of revenue.
