本論文將聚乙烯醇(polyvinyl alcohol, PVA)/水溶液加入二乙基磷乙基三乙氧基矽烷(diethylphosphato ethyl triethoxysilane,DEPE-TEOS)混合,利用靜電紡織技術(Electrospinning)製成纖維膜。PVA-DEPE-TEOS纖維膜經由化學交聯增強機械性質。再將此PVA-DEPE-TEOS纖維膜浸漬及噴塗Nafion溶液製作複合膜。以此Nafion/DEPE-TEOS複合膜製作膜電極組(membrane electrode assembly, MEA)及進行直接甲醇燃料電池(direct methanol fuel cell, DMFC)測試。於甲醇濃度2 M、甲醇進料流量2.5 mL/min、O2流量75 mL/min、電池操作溫度90℃時,此單電池有最大功率密度107 mW/cm2。
We prepare polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) / diethylphosphate ethyl triethoxy solane (DEPE-TEOS) blend fiber thin film by electrospinning from the PVA/DEPE-TEOS mixed solution. The PVA/DEPE-TEOS thin film is then treated with chemical crosslink to improve its mechanical strength. The crosslinked PVA/DEPE-TEOS thin film is subsequently impregnated with the Nafion solution to prepare Nafion- /PVA-DEPE-TEOS composite membrane. The DMFC performance tests are carried out using MEAs prepared from present composite membrane (thickness 50μm) and Nafion-117 membrane (thickness~175μm). We show the present new proton exchange membrane has a better DMFC performance than Nafion-117 membrane.
