砷化鎵晶圓代工廠如何提升競爭力之策略分析-以穩懋半導體為個案分析

摘要


提升砷化鎵晶圓代工廠競爭力之策略分析,以穩懋半導體為例,說明生為砷化鎵代工龍頭的穩懋半導體,該如何擬定本身具競爭力的策略,以應對市場變化萬千的不確定因子,是本研究討論的問題。而相較於其他競爭對手,穩懋的公司策略及公司定位導向,是本研究探討的內容。本研究從認識砷化鎵材料的特性,到瞭解砷化鎵產業的應用及範疇,並從穩懋的產能,技術,及客戶群瞭解穩懋的特性。分析穩懋的經營模式,從穩懋實行的公司策略中,帶出研究發現及給予建議。 1.穩懋始終堅持只提供晶圓代工,而不提供IC設計。 2.穩懋從磊晶晶圓自給自足,到跨足封裝測試的領域,穩懋的策略是將上下游供應鏈做整合。 3.產品良率的穩定及產能擴張計畫皆是穩懋持續進行的目標。 4.面對砷化鎵市場需求現今供不應求的狀態,而進入砷化鎵工廠的門檻又高,穩懋該如何保持在砷化鎵產業中極佳的位置及排名,攸關著穩懋策略的擬訂方向。 本研究從資料蒐集方法及專家訪談中,瞭解穩懋的策略擬定及公司導向,並藉由本研究帶出以下研究發現: 1.提供多種製程技術的穩懋,對於各個技術的管理層面。 2.穩懋的產能成長能力。 3.產品良率穩定的能力。 4.上下游供應鏈整合的能力 關鍵字: 砷化鎵、晶圓代工、策略擬訂

Through stragety analysis to enhance the competitiveness on GaAs pure foundry, a case study of WIN Semiconductors. WIN is the largest foundry fab in GaAs industry now, WIN should how to set up the competitiveness strategy, and how to acknowledge the market changes, it’s an important topic in this report. To compare with other competitors, WIN’s company stragety and the company direction are the critical topics in this report discussion. In the beginning, we’ll describe the characteristic on GaAs materials, and the applications on GaAs products. And we’ll focus on WIN’s capacity, technology skills, and customer relationship. To analysis WIN’s management modle, and focus on reviewing the company stragety and target, then the study brings out the finding and gives the suggestions. 1. WIN always only insists as the pure foundry fab, not provide IC design service to customers. 2. WIN’s policy is to provide the whole supply chain service from EPI providing to assembly and testing service. 3. Keep stable production line yield and expand WIN’s production line capacity. 4. How to make WIN in the first rank in GaAs industry is the critical discussion topic in this study.The current GaAs market demand is high, but it’s not easy for the new entrant to get into this market. WIN should catchs up the advantages and continue to keep the first rank. From the datacollection and discussion with some experts, we tried to understand WIN’s company policy and WIN’s position in GaAs industry, and brought out the following study findings. 1.
