耐受都普勒效應之序列測距研究

A Study of Doppler Resilient Sequence Ranging

摘要


使用相位編碼的方式,可以將具有特殊自相關函數性質的序列應用在超音波等系統進行距離量測。實際應用因量測器與所偵測目標物之間的相對運動造成都普勒效應,使訊號頻率產生漂移,直接影響接收端解調後之混淆函數。混淆函數旁峰大小與頻率漂移成正比成長,使測距的成效不盡理想。 本研究首先比較非週期性PN序列、單一格雷序列、格雷互補對等測距序列在有都普勒效應時的測距性能。並探討格雷互補對應用在2008年Pezeshki、Calderbank、Moran和Howard所提出的雙極化傳輸方法如何抑制都普勒效應所造成的性能損失。其次使用同時調變測距訊號I、Q成份的QPSK相位編碼取代BPSK,並以雙極化傳輸方法傳送,可取得測距收斂加快之性能改善。最後探討雙極化傳輸使用接收序列估算目標散射矩陣的方法。

Sequences which have special auto-correlation function properties can be used to create phase encoded signals for ranging. In actual applications, relative motion between the target and the ranging device causes “Doppler effect”, which leads to signal frequency shift, and increases the sidelobe levels of the ambiguity function. The increase of the ambiguity function sidelobe levels will degrade the ranging performance. In this research, we first compare the ranging performance of aperiodic PN sequences, single Golay sequences, and Golay pairs under Doppler effect. Then we study Pezeshki, Calderbank, Moran, and Howard’s 2008 approach using dual polarization signals and Prouhet-Tarry-Escott sequence for Golay pair transmission to mitigate Doppler Effects. Next we use QPSK modulated Golay pairs to replace the BPSK Golay pairs in Pezeshki et. al’s dual polarization transmission method to obtain accelerated convergence. Finally, we study the estimation of the target scattering matrix in the dual polarization transmission method .
